Apprenticeship Distinction!
Apprenticeships are a fantastic route to take for people who want to take a different route into employment and today we’re recognising and celebrating the achievements of one our team members, Georgia Smith. She smashed her apprenticeship achieving a distinction for her efforts! We got some time to speak with her on how she found the process and what skill benefits she found during the courses.
Georgia has been in the business for three years, and she has worked her way up the ladder quickly, becoming Customer Service Team Leader on 1 st April 2022. We believe she is one of the future stars, which is why she was offered the opportunity to harness her skills and develop her talent. Georgia now has a greater understanding of how we operate, by learning aspects from all departments. She also honed her people management skills and developed new management style skills to help assist with her current role.
With apprenticeships leading the charge in the economy building back stronger, with over 40% more people starting apprenticeships in the first quarter of 2021/22 than in the same period 2020/21. For us, upskilling our teammates has been proven to help support our clients on their sustainability journey. Engaged, happy teammates deliver the excellent levels of customer care we’re known for, and it’s why we’re memorable for all the right reasons.
We’re always looking for ways to support our local community and we see apprenticeships as a great way to attract people. We’ve had more than a dozen team members who have either completed or are currently working within the scheme.

We even had the chance to sit down with her Line Manager, Sally Burrows. Who had nothing but glowing remarks for her team member.
