Green Apple Awards 2022
We attended the Green Apple Awards yesterday and walked away with 5 winners trophies. Deep Blue Restaurants, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Freshpak Chilled Foods and Apleona FM were all recognised as leading the way as Sustainability champions in their respective categories.
Deep Blue Restaurants and Gourmet Burger Kitchen both competed against other nominees from around the UK in the Environmental Best Practice – Food & Drink category. Collecting Gold and Silver awards respectively, both showed the intent, effort and engagement that makes them deserving winners.
Freshpak Chilled Foods collected not one, but two Gold awards for their innovative approach to resource management. Their intense focus on inverting the waste hierarchy and reducing their Scope 3 carbon footprint is why they are deserving winners in the Manufacturing category.
Not to be outshone, Apleona FM collected a Silver award for Environmental Best Practice for their work partnership with the team at Managed Waste Solutions (recently acquired by Novati).
The excitement will now continue as we look ahead to Spring 2023, where we’ll see if these customers can perform just as well on the global stage at the Green World Awards.
