ISO Accolades
On the 1st of September, we were audited for our three-year Alcumus ISOQAR. This audit stemmed across the entirety of our business for four days. We’re delighted to announce that we successfully renewed our ISO 9001 Management System, ISO 14001 Environment Management and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety certification this month, having been approved to be compliant with the requirements across all our brands with zero non-conformances.
Working together and incorporating the integrated management system (IMS) across our brands has allowed us to achieve these fantastic accolades. Not many businesses across the UK have all three ISO’s due to the rigorous requirements needed in place to secure these standards. Which is why the hard work by Chris Bennet, our SHEQ team, the board and the team following the procedures set through the IMS has allowed us to strive forwards and hit excellence. By obtaining these three ISO standards, it ensures we’re following the environmental standard.

For this reason, a consistent set of checks and guidelines for companies to follow are key. The ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) is an independent, non-governmental, international organisation that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of the provision of products, services, and systems. It exists to ensure consistency internationally, and for businesses to follow a set of guidelines that represents a dedication to high quality processes and principles. Alcumus are our independent testing body, who are audited by UKCAS.
UKAS is the United Kingdom Accreditation Service. They have been appointed by the government as the only body authorised to assess the capability and competence of organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection, and calibration services. UKAS audits certification bodies like Alcumus ISOQAR to ensure they are competent and meeting the highest standards. By selecting Alcumus, we’re ensuring we’re trying to achieve the highest standards at all levels.
Our SHEQ Manager, Chris Bennet said: “For the Novati brand, this is a significant achievement. It’s our first three-year accreditation audit with the integrated management system in place and the first time we’ve secured all three accreditations across our brands. I think this achievement stems down to the Board, who have been at the forefront of ensuring that we maintain the ISO standards. The size of the business has grown significantly in the last three years, so ensuring all brands adhere to the processes put in place shows how much effort we have all put in as a team. I’d like to thank all of those who took part in the auditing process and for the continual efforts put in by the business to ensure we will maintain these standards year in year out. This will demonstrate to our customers and potential new clients our commitment to being environmentally friendly and adhere to the standards required for their businesses.”
